This tutorial demonstrates a pure Eulerian analysis technique in Abaqus to simulate dynamic fluid flow with large deformation. The scenario involves a water column collapsing under gravity. To represent both the water and its surrounding domain, a single Eulerian part is used.
The simulation is performed using the Dynamic Explicit procedure, which is well-suited for Eulerian analysis. Due to the height of the water column, geostatic stress is applied to initialize the pressure field.
Below are some visual results from the simulation.
